Students also need to prepare an emergency assistance plan for a dive site as part of course work. The first day is reserved for pool training sessions, while open water dives are conducted on the remaining days. We usually conduct Rescue Diver Courses according to the following schedule: Day 1 (7am-5pm): Classroom & pool training sessions covering self-rescue techniques & rescue exercises. Key Details : Minimum Age: 10 years Duration: 3-4 days No. of Dives: 4 Maximum Depth: 18 metres/60 feet (12 metres/40 feet for children under 12 years old) Prerequisites: Participants must be able to complete: A 10-minute swim/float without swim aids A 200 metre/yard continuous surface swim (or a 300 metre/yard swim with mask, fins & snorkel) Inclusions: -Classroom & pool training -Open Water dives (4/5) -Equipment rental -Instructor fees -Study materials -Certification fees -Boat charges -Refreshments on dive day Additional Details Children, till the age of 14, earn a PADI Junior Open Water Diver certificate & must always dive with an adult certified diver. Moreover, 10- & 11-year-olds must dive with a parent/guardian or PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet. The certification automatically upgrades when the diver turns 15. As per international scuba diving standards, the no fly time after multiple dives is a minimum of 18 hours. Extra training days (if required, for non-medical reasons) are priced at ₹5500/- per day (*18% GST additional). Guests are requested to have their own transport to travel between the dive centre and harbour.
