Capture the magic of the underwater world with the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Course — your first step toward bringing your dive memories to life. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or completely new to cameras, this course teaches you how to take stunning underwater photos while becoming a more aware, skillful diver. You'll learn everything from choosing the right camera and mastering lighting to framing the perfect shot using PADI's Shoot, Examine, Adjust (SEA) method. Through hands-on training and open water dives, you'll practice improving your shots in real time under the guidance of a PADI Instructor. Along the way, you'll also sharpen your buoyancy, awareness, and navigation skills - essential for both great photos and safe diving. By the end, you'll not only have beautiful images to share but also a deeper appreciation for the art of slowing down and truly seeing the ocean. Course Structure & Schedule The Digital Underwater Photographer Course comprises 2 main components : Knowledge development to learn the theoretical basics and safety aspects. Once a course is booked, we assign e-learning materials at the earliest to help you complete theory sections at your pace & convenience, prior to arrival at the dive centre. Briefing sessions and open water dives with a PADI Instructor where you'll learn how to choose the right camera system for your dives; principles of image composition and tips for getting the most impactful shot; steps to shoot photos, evaluate and make adjustments on the next shot to improve your images. We are also happy to conduct the Digital Underwater Photographer Course alongside your Open Water, Advanced Open Water or other PADI courses to ensure you make the most of the time you spend with us! Just get in touch and we'll be happy to curate a personalized itinerary for you! We recommend that you visit us at the dive center a day before starting your course to complete paperwork, & get yourself fitted for the equipment you will be using for the next few fun-filled days! Additionally, if you have not dived in over 6 months, we recommend you sign up for a skill refresher prior to starting the course.
