The course comprises 3 main components – Knowledge development where you learn the theoretical basics of diving with emphasis on safety procedures. Once a course is booked, we assign e-learning materials at the earliest to help students complete theory sections at their own pace and convenience, prior to arrival at the dive centre. This is highly recommended as it allows us to allocate more time for in-water training. Confined water sessions in small batches, in the controlled setting of a swimming pool. This helps you learn essential skills including use and assembly of equipment, underwater communication, etc. Open water dives to apply and refine the skills you’ve learnt in the pool, while exploring the underwater world Day 1 (8.30am-5pm): Float test; Classroom and pool training sessions Day 2 (7am to 3pm): Head to Grande Island to complete your open water dives under the direct supervision of your instructor. Discover the beautiful world that lies beneath the waves, perform a few of the skills you’ve learnt in the pool and you’re ready to get certified! This is a great choice if you – Want to learn to dive independently but have only 2 days to spare Are unsure about being able to swim 200m without stopping (which is mandatory for the Open Water Diver Course) Only want to go diving under the supervision of a professional. The Scuba Diver certification is a subset of the Open Water Diver Course which means you can choose to level-up whenever you’ve the time and feel ready! Please note that the cost of PADI E-Learning is additional and includes certification. We will send you the PADI web store link to purchase the E-learning manual.
