At SEI, we believe in a hands-on approach to dive training which reflects in the conduct of the Equipment Specialist Course. The course comprises 2 main components – Knowledge development through self-study. Once a course is booked, we assign e-learning materials at the earliest to help you complete theory sections at your pace & convenience, prior to arrival at the dive centre. This is highly recommended as it also allows us to allocate more time for practical training. Practical sessions through Instructor-led live demonstrations Some of the broad topics covered in the course include – The principles and operation of diving equipment Routine, recommended care and maintenance procedures, and equipment storage Common problems with equipment and recommended professional maintenance procedures Suggestions for comfortable equipment configurations and an introduction to new equipment Practical classes commence at 8.30am & end around 2pm. As a certified diver you might be curious about the operating mechanisms of your equipment. You might also be keen to invest in some equipment of you own & want to learn how to maintain it properly. The PADI Equipment Specialist Course is your answer! You learn to manage basic repairs and adjustments, so you never have to miss a dive due to minor issues with your equipment – whether it's a missing o-ring, wetsuit tear or a broken fin strap. You will also learn more about how dive gear works, which in turn will help you make informed purchase decisions depending on your needs. You will also be better prepared to take care of your investment. Please note that the cost of PADI E-Learning is additional and includes certification. We will send you the PADI web store link to purchase the E-learning
