The course comprises 3 main components – 1. Knowledge development where you learn the theoretical aspects of EFR training. Once a course is booked, we assign e-learning materials at the earliest to help you complete theory sections at your pace & convenience, prior to arrival at the dive centre. This is highly recommended as it allows us to allocate more time to practical training. 2.Skill development where we teach you to be efficient responders without compromising your own safety. Some of the skills you learn include – Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) & emergency oxygen Injury & illness management 3. Scenarios to apply your newly-acquired skills in a controlled, simulated setting Our EFR classes are taught in small groups to ensure better learning. They start at 8.30am & end by 5pm, allowing us enough time to progress at a pace comfortable to you. The PADI Emergency First Responder (EFR) Course is designed to teach essential, life-saving skills in a supportive environment to diver and non-divers. While it is a fundamental part of dive education, EFR training helps ensure safety not just underwater, but also in daily life – in school, at home, work or even the market. Besides teaching skills, the course aims to foster a sense of responsibility while instilling confidence in participants. At SEI, we encourage a hands-on approach to emergency response and teach you – Primary and secondary care techniques Scene and patient assessment principles Application of appropriate first aid procedures As an EFR-trained individual, you are prepared to respond to the unexpected and can make a life-saving difference in the critical moments following an incident, before emergency services arrive. Please note that the cost of PADI E-Learning is additional and includes certification. We will send you the PADI web store link to purchase the E-learning
