As a PADI Assistant Instructor, you can not only guide certified divers into the underwater world and assist instructors during PADI courses, but also teach Discover Scuba Diving in confined water, theory portion of PADI courses & some non-diving courses on your own. What’s more you’re only one step away from your goal of becoming a PADI Instructor! Prerequisites Candidate must be an active status PADI Divemaster or equivalent Must hold Current EFR certification Minimum 60 logged dives Been a certified diver for more than 6 months+ Equipment Prices do not include gear rental, as Assistant Instructors need to own their own complete set of gear. however a complete set of gear can be rented for 1000 INR a day. All Assistant Instructor candidates need to purchase the PADI AI Crew Pack, which includes all necessary books and documentation. Crew packs are available from Temple Adventures for 900 AUD Once your AI program is completed you will need to submit your Asst. Instructor application to PADI. Application fees amount to 130 AUD. For those of you who want to start “from scratch”, we also offer assistant instructor internships, in 4 to 6 months, including 60 dives,during which time the AI candidate will work at the Dive Centre on a daily basis: Please email us on dive@templeadventures.com to know more about these options.
