Who Takes Open Water (Ocean) Swimming Course? When your confidence and curiosity lead you to the ocean, this course provides you with the necessary inside scoop. You’d like to feel safe in the ocean. You’ll get answers to your biggest basic questions in this introductory course. Total confidence in varied ocean environments begins here. Pre-requisites : None Basic Swimming : Not Required Min. Age : 08+ years Learn in a safe, warm, friendly setting about salt water, the sandy bottom that sometimes has holes, how to get in when there are breakers, how the water moves, what to do about currents and waves and how to be in your body in the ocean. Contrary to the numerous myths surrounding oceans, oceans are completely safe provided one gains appropriate knowledge about the ocean and learns to respect nature. Learn the skills to feel at home in the sea. Take your pool skills into the sea. Float, reverse, swim, play, and BE! Learn to use Mask, Snorkel & Fins with the breast stroke technique in the 1st Circle. Swim out to your comfort if it sounds like fun…with or without snorkel. Where, When and How? Visakhapatnam, AP, Thimmapuram Beach & Rushikonda Beach 10 days: Day 1: Pool Training 08 am - 10 am Day 2 to 10: Ocean Training 06 am - 07 am We learn at Thimmapuram Beach and Rushikonda Beach, both beaches to give you a varied experience and to show you 2 different kind of underwater life / scenario. End of the course will provide your Internationally Snorkel Diver Certification. Things that you need to bring: 1. Own Mask, Snorkel, Fins. 2. Extra pair of undergarments, clothes and towel. 3. Own reusable water bottle. 5. Swimwear / Swim suit (full top and bottom)
