The PADI Open Water course is the certification course required to become a trained diver. Normally, people do them all in one location while on holiday, but it is possible to complete the preliminary academic and pool training before going on vacation. This will let you save 1-2 days of precious vacation time – instead of spending that time in a classroom environment, you can use that time to have fun and do more dives. Furthermore, if you are nervous in the water or a weak swimmer, this lets you complete your training at your own pace, without the external pressure imposed by vacation deadlines. The last benefit, of course, is that you know whether this sport is for you before committing to flight tickets, hotels and other travel expenses. As with all DIVEIndia training, this program is conducted to follow your pace of learning – we estimate that most people can complete it in 2 days, but if it it takes longer, it takes longer. Our goal is to make sure you have learned all the skills thoroughly, and are ready to get hooked to the sport. Price: Rs 14,500 for the theory and confined water training. Rs 4,500 for the PADI mandatory materials & certification credit (you can buy this elsewhere when you complete your training, if you prefer – but you will need to buy this before you get certified)
